Who we are

NY Car Buying Center is operated by Izmir Automotive Group Inc. This policy covers the NY Car Buying Center consumer and dealer appraisal app and nycarbuyingcenter.com. Vehicle buying services are available in New York State.

Information collected

When you request an appraisal or contact us, information may include your name, email address, telephone number, location or ZIP code, vehicle identification number (VIN), license plate and state, mileage, condition, ownership details, vehicle photographs, and information you include in messages. Dealers may also provide business and representative details when requested by the form.

Our hosting and appraisal providers may receive technical information such as IP address, browser or device information, pages requested, and cookies or similar identifiers when their services load. Their notices describe their collection and uses.

How information is used

We use customer information only to appraise vehicles and arrange their potential purchase. This includes responding to your request, evaluating your vehicle, discussing an estimate or purchase, arranging an inspection or collection, and handling related transaction paperwork. Associated records may also be used to secure the service, prevent fraud, resolve transaction disputes, and meet applicable legal recordkeeping requirements.

No marketing: We do not use your appraisal information for advertising campaigns, promotional texts, promotional emails, or unrelated marketing. Contact about the appraisal or buying your vehicle is service-related follow-up. You can ask us to stop optional follow-up using the contact details below.

Confidentiality: We treat your information as confidential. Access is limited to people and providers who need it for your appraisal, potential vehicle purchase, related service operation, or legal obligations. We do not sell your customer information or provide it to others for their marketing.

ClearCar and service providers

The app opens our existing ClearCar appraisal form. Information you enter into that form is processed by ClearCar/ACV and may be made available to our business to handle your inquiry. Review ACV's Privacy Policy and the notices presented in the appraisal form for the provider's practices.

Information may also be handled by providers supporting hosting, communications, security, and transaction administration. We may disclose information when necessary to comply with legal obligations, respond to lawful requests, protect rights or safety, or complete a business transfer subject to applicable protections.

ClearCar/ACV operates the embedded appraisal service under its own privacy notice. Our commitment not to use your information for marketing describes our business’s practices. ACV’s published policy also describes its own uses, which may include analytics, advertising, and communications. Please review its policy and the notices shown in the appraisal form. You can ask us about alternatives before submitting information.

Camera, photos, and app storage

If you choose to upload vehicle photographs, your device may ask for camera or photo access. You can manage permissions in device settings. The native app does not require an account and does not include a staff login. Its appraisal browser uses a temporary WebKit data store rather than the device's shared Safari session. This does not delete information already submitted to ClearCar or our business.

Retention and deletion

We keep personal information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described above, including inquiries, transactions, legal recordkeeping, dispute resolution, and security. We delete or de-identify it when it is no longer needed, subject to records that must be retained.

You may request access, correction, deletion, or withdrawal of consent by contacting us below. We may need to verify your identity and may retain records where legally required or otherwise permitted. We will explain applicable limits. Requests involving records controlled independently by ACV may also need to be made directly to ACV through its privacy-policy contact process.

Your choices

You can choose not to submit an appraisal, decline optional information, manage camera and photo permissions, and adjust browser cookie settings. Some choices may limit form functionality. Additional privacy rights may apply depending on where you live. Contact us to exercise those rights or ask about our practices.

Security and children

We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information we handle; no internet service can guarantee complete security. Our vehicle appraisal service is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us to request a review and deletion where appropriate.

Changes

We will post updates on this page with a revised effective date and provide additional notice where required.
